Students must earn a C- grade or better in each course.

Upon completion of the Wildland Fire Science O.E.C., students are prepared to sit for the following through the National Wildfire Coordination Group:

- S-211 Portable Pumps & Water Use (F152)

- S-131 Wildland Firefighter Type I (F153)
- S-133 Look Up, Look Down, Look Around (F153)
- L-280 Followership to Leadership (F153)
- S-270 Basic Air Operations (F157)
- S-271 Helicopter Crewmember (F157)
